An account balance can rise after a deposit even when the recorded gaming result is negative. It can fall after a withdrawal without that withdrawal being a gambling loss. Understanding those differences requires a record of the movements between two points in time.
This guide shows how to reconcile a 9Wicket cash ledger with payment records. It focuses on completed entries and clear categories, rather than on troubleshooting one pending transaction.
Choose a period and a consistent balance type

Choose a start time and an end time, then record the balance shown at each point. Include the timezone. Use the same balance category throughout: a cash ledger balance, an available balance and a promotional balance may describe different amounts.
If the interface combines several categories, find their definitions before calculating. A restriction or pending hold can affect what is available without being a completed withdrawal. Do not force unlike figures into the same equation.
Separate external movements from gaming entries
Deposits and withdrawals move money between the account and an external payment route. Accepted stakes and settled returns describe activity inside the account. Fees, reversals and manual adjustments may need their own categories.
Use the 9Wicket deposit guide to understand the account-side deposit information, then compare it with the provider’s own record. Match entries by reference, amount and currency rather than by appearance in a list alone.
Work through a fictional ledger
The following example assumes completed entries in one currency, no fees, no promotional funds and no pending holds. Returns include any stake returned as part of settlement.
|
Ledger item |
Amount in units |
|
Opening cash balance |
1000 |
|
Completed deposit |
Plus 200 |
|
Completed withdrawal |
Minus 150 |
|
Accepted stakes |
Minus 100 |
|
Settled returns |
Plus 80 |
|
Closing cash balance |
1030 |
The ledger reconciles as 1000 plus 200 minus 150 minus 100 plus 80, giving 1030. The balance increased by 30 units, but the gaming result was 80 minus 100, or a loss of 20 units. The deposit and withdrawal explain why those two measures differ.
These figures are an accounting illustration, not a spending suggestion or a description of an actual account.
Match both sides of an external movement
A completed deposit should be compared with the corresponding payment-provider entry. A withdrawal needs the account-side record and the receiving-side record. Keep their timestamps separately because different systems may record submission, processing and completion at different moments.
Do not count a bank debit and its matching account credit as two deposits. They are the two sides of one transfer. Likewise, several status updates attached to one reference are not necessarily several transactions.
Keep pending items outside the completed total
Maintain a separate list of unresolved items with their references and current labels. Add an item to the completed ledger only when the definition and status support that treatment. If an available balance already deducts a pending hold, show the hold separately when comparing it with a cash ledger balance.
A later reversal should be recorded as its own linked movement when that is how the history presents it. Quietly deleting the original entry from your notes can make the timeline harder to understand.
Handle fees and currencies explicitly
If a provider records a fee or currency conversion, retain the original amount, currency and any separately identified charge. Compare the actual posted amounts. Do not use a current exchange rate to reconstruct an older transaction unless the relevant record specifies that method.
A difference caused by a documented fee should be labeled as a fee. An unexplained difference should remain unexplained until the missing information is obtained; it should not be assigned to gaming profit or loss by default.
Investigate the smallest unmatched difference
When the ledger fails to reconcile, check missing references, duplicated entries, period boundaries and balance definitions first. Identify the smallest group of entries that explains the discrepancy.
Use the 9Wicket contact page to locate support if an account entry remains unclear. Provide the relevant references and calculation, with unrelated statement lines removed from the copy you share. Never include passwords or authentication codes.
18+ only. Review losses honestly and keep essential funds separate. Reconciling an account does not require another deposit or further gambling.
